Wilma Jean Towater

August 8, 1943 — March 25, 2016

Wilma Jean Towater, 72, died Friday afternoon March 25, 2016 at her residence with her family present and under the loving care of Hospice of West Tennessee. She was born in Selmer, TN August 8, 1943 the daughter of the late Glen and Oma Dee Ray.
Jean was a retired bank teller from the Bank of Madison County and was a member of Oakfield Baptist Church. She truly loved to paint and care for her flower garden.
Jean is survived by three sons, Todd Towater and wife Kim, of Jackson, TN, Lee Towater and wife Michelle of Jackson, TN, Neal Towater and wife Trish of Alamo, TN, six grandchildren, Ryan Towater and wife Bethany, Shelby Towater, Brooke Towater, Hayden Towater, Eli Towater, Emili Towater, a special niece Diane Towater Kelly of Jackson, TN and a very special caregiver Nancy Brantley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy Lee Towater, her parents and brother Jerry Ray.
SERVICES: Services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Mickey Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday from 11:00AM until service time at 1:00PM.
