On November 10, 2020, William Marshall (Bill) Malone died peacefully at his home at the age of 72 after battling Parkinson’s disease for several years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Carolyn Malone; their son, Matt and his wife Holly; daughters Maggie and her husband Robby, and Michelle; and their 6 grandchildren, Madison, Dallas, Harrison, Leah, Stella and Stayton. Bill was born on November 21,1947 in Memphis, TN. He graduated from Central High School in 1965 and Memphis State in 1970. Over the course of his time in Jackson, he was president of the Jackson Jaycees, president of Dixie Youth Baseball – locally and statewide, and was president of the Humboldt Country Club. Bill enjoyed reading his Bible, watching any sport on TV, playing golf, and attending every program and sporting event of his grandchildren.
He was a long-time member and deacon of First Baptist Church Jackson, where he participated in mission trips and Disaster Relief. His career covered many areas, but building homes was his passion. He also worked with the Army Corps of Engineers in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
The family will host a Come and Go Celebration of Life at the home of Matt and Holly Malone, 6 Teaberry Drive in Jackson, TN on Saturday, November 14, 2020, from 12PM until 2PM.
