Funeral services for Thomas Gerald Scott Jr., 49, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Pastor Ben Mandrell and Dr. Philip Jett officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Tom was born April 22, 1962 in Huntsville, AL the son of Thomas Gerald Scott Sr. and the late Dorothy Gay York Scott. He was a graduate and basketball player of Germantown High School and Lambuth College. He was an avid fisherman who loved nature. Many considered him an expert on area lakes. Tom always said he did his best thinking and talks with God while he was out on the water. Tom attended Englewood Baptist Church and was a courier with FedEx. He is survived by his wife Sarah Scott; a son William Thomas ?Will? Scott; a daughter Jordan Denise Scott; his father Thomas Gerald Scott Sr. and wife Nina; two sisters Lisa Rendos and husband Richard and Melinda Warmath and husband Don; two step sisters Michele Miller and husband Don and Paige Myrick.Pallbearers to serve are Scott Mathis, Tommy Lloyd, Greg Stewart, Randy Wilson, Darrell Emerson, Marlon Gillespie and Tommie Gordon.Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky Howell, Josh Vinson, Jon Howell, Randy Staples, Blake Staples, Richard Rendos, Don Warmath and Troy Adkins.In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.The family will receive friends Friday, November 4, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Arrington Funeral Directors148 W.
