Stephen Robert (Steve) Courtner, 60, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
He was born March 7, 1954 in Johnson City, TN the son of Robert Earl and Mildred Lipford Courtner. He was sales manager for Axalta Corporation. Steve was a devoted deacon and trustee of Englewood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Carol Courtner of 38 years, of Jackson, TN, three sons Matthew Courtner and his wife Elizabeth, Andrew Courtner and his wife Caitlin, Ryan Courtner and his fiancé Lily Coursey, one daughter, Laura Courtner, his mother Mildred Courtner, two grandchildren, Colton and Emma Kate Courtner, and one sister Carolyn Wood. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Earl Courtner.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to Englewood Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, 2267 N. Highland Ave, Jackson, TN 38305.
SERVICES: Memorial services will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11:00AM at Englewood Baptist Church with Dr. Philip Jett and Dr. Brent Lay officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 4:30PM until 6:30PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
