Robert Dennis Murley

Robert D. Murley, Age 93, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 29, 2021 in Gibson, TN. He was born the son of Robert and Nina Wallace Murley in Baldwyn, MS. Robert was retired from Arrow Glass as a Plant Supervisor, He served in WW2 and is an Army Veteran, enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and was an active member of Eldad Baptist Church as a deacon and devoted much of his time to the church.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise (Marshall) Perkins of Collierville, TN; four grandchildren, Cody (Kristi) Perkins, April (Will) Seay, Jessica (Benny) Cohen, and Zach VanNieuwenhuyze, and seven great grandchildren, three brothers, Archie (Linda) Murley, and Harold (Joyce) Murley, and EJ Murley, and two sisters, Hazel Hunnicut and Linda (Curtis) Bishop. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Lynette, three brothers, Breland Murley, Leland Murley, Pascal Murley, and , three sisters: Eunice Johnson, Eula Bryan, and Evelyn Johnson, and his parents.

Pallbearers to serve are: Cody Perkins, Zach VanNieuwenhuyze, Benny Cohen, Will Seay, Ed Gregory, and Ronnie Johnson.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Eldad Baptist Church and Cemetery Fund, 49 Eldad Road, Trenton, TN 38382.

SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Eldad Baptist Church in Trenton, TN with a service following at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Jonathan Criswell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
