Phoebe Frankland Corum, 55, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at her Jackson, TN residence.
A native of Jackson, TN, Phoebe was born on April 13, 1959, the daughter of Frances Gaba Frankland and the late Gordon Hays Frankland, Sr. Phoebe was a very artistic and full of life, energy, an unconditional sense of love, and vibrance. Everything she did was filled with passion and everything she was and continues to be is inspiring. Phoebe made it a point to love and care for anyone who walked into her life and shared in her family's love and devotion to all people and all of creation. Her life was her family – never was there a prouder mother. She never missed a game, a competition, a concert, or a graduation. She was married to her loving husband for 36 wonderful years. She had great compassion for animals and leaves four dogs who were her babies. She was everything to her loving mother, Frances. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandson who was and always will be the sunshine of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Tilman Corum of Jackson, TN; her daughter, Sara Tate (Craig) of Ridgley, TN; her son, Charles Corum of Jackson, TN; her mother, Frances Frankland of Jackson, TN; her brother, Hayes Frankland, Jr. (Loyce Ann) of Oakfield, TN and her grandson, Cooper James Tate.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, May 12, 2014 in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Weatherly officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Monday prior to the service in Disciple Hall at First United Methodist.
The family is requesting memorial contributions be directed to the Jackson Madison County Humane Society, 23 Pinnacle Drive, Jackson, TN 38305.
