Murray Anthony "Tony" Hopper

Tony Hopper, 71, died on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Jackson, TN on July 18, 1947, the son of the late Murray Robert and Jane Sanders Hopper. He served in the Tennessee Army National Guard and was the owner and operator of Jackson Auto Salvage. He was founding member of the Jackson Custom and Street Rod Car Club. He loved building street rods. Spending time with family and friends was very important to him.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Toya Johnson Hopper of Jackson, TN; his sons, Bryan Anthony Hopper of Hendersonville, TN and Murray Anthony Hopper and wife Sarah and their children, Ramsey and Reagan of Jackson, TN and a sister Melody Hopper Haltom and husband Bruce of Jackson, TN.
He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Jane Smith.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Browns Cemetery with Terry Kelley officiating. Pallbearers will be Murray Hopper, Bryan Hopper, Rand Martindale, Justin Wright, John Hopper, Taylor Polk and Jeremy Chism.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
