Mary Lynn Mcdonald

Mary Lynn McDonald, age 67, passed away December 18, 2014. She was born March 21, 1947 in Madison County, TN the daughter of the late Edward Franklin Goodrich and Annie Eulene Goodrich of Jackson, TN.
Mary Lynn made her home in Madison County, TN where she was educated and made a career in the Insurance Industry. She owned and operated McDonald Insurance Services for 28 years. Through this work, she built a “Family” of friends and business associates. Mary Lynn was an outstanding agent and loved by so many of her clients. Where ever she hung her insurance hat, they followed.
Other than her mother, she is survived by her two beloved sons, James Michael (Teresa) McDonald and Bryan Scott McDonald. Grandchildren: Morgan, Zachary, Liza, Adam, Ali Kate and Steele McDonald and
T J Hogan. All these children were so adored and loved by “Nena”. Siblings: her twin brother Jerry (Cathy) Goodrich, Jimmy Goodrich, Charlotte (Eugene) Jordan, Gail (Larry) Smith, all of Jackson, TN and Karen Goodrich of Nashville, TN. An extended family of nieces and nephews: Randy Stanfill, Melissa (Bill) Wester, Bo (Carla) Goodrich, Elizabeth and Jennifer Goodrich, Stephanie Smith, Greg (Ashley) Smith and Austin Goodrich and eight great nieces and nephews. All were so loved by Mary Lynn, with whom some she was thought as their “Other Mother”. She is also survived by her children’s father Larry M. McDonald.
Mary Lynn had a generous and giving heart to every life she touched. Her kindness and generosity exemplified Christian love. Her passion was not only in helping others, her insurance business, but also gardening. She planted multiple, beautiful, flowering gardens that we will enjoy years to come. We will miss her beautiful smile and gracious heart forever. We love you so much, Mary Lynn.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends Saturday December 27 at Arrington Funeral Directors from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM with Minister Ron Hale of West Jackson Baptist Church officiating. Arrington Funeral Directors 148 W.
