Martha Ann Abbott Mcnatt

Visitation for Martha Ann Abbott McNatt, 90, will be held Arrington Funeral Directors on Tuesday from 11AM to 1PM, with a Graveside Service to follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery at 1:30PM. Michael Page, her Grandson, will officiate at the Graveside Service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn McNatt, of Jackson, TN, and her brother, Dan Abbott, of Rutherford.

Pallbearers will be Tim McNatt, Lester McNatt, Mark Stooksbury, Alan Abbott, Don Abbott, & Jeff Page. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Kirk, James Myers & Chris Kylander.

Mrs. McNatt was an educator and Food Service Director for Madison County School System. She died on October 1st at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was born in Bradford, Tennessee on July 1, 1927, the daughter of Raymond and Jessie Abbott, of Rutherford, Tennessee.

She was the author of 4 books, including Grandmother’s Face in the Mirror, published by Main Street Publishing & Feeding the Flock, published by Bethany House.

She is survived by her son, Terry McNatt and wife Mary Ruth of Knoxville; a daughter, Dr. Linda McNatt Page and husband David, of Jackson; four grandchildren and their spouses, Melody and Mark Stooksbury of Knoxville, Michelle and James Myers of Asheville, North Carolina, Jeff and Ashlee Page of Nashville, and Michael and Mandy Page of Jackson; eight great-grandchildren, Katelyn & Brayden Stooksbury, Lilly, Elena, & Jonah Page, & Noah, Cole & Shea Myers.

She earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and was an avid Vols Fan!

Mrs. McNatt was a follower of Jesus Christ and a student of the Bible. She was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Jackson. She taught a Sunday School Class at First Christian Church that was broadcast live on WTJS Radio.

The family wishes to thank the many Doctors and Nurses and caregivers who have graciously served Mrs. McNatt over the last several weeks. Memorial Donations may be made to First Christian Church of Jackson.
