Leonard (Len) Thomas Harper

Len Harper, age 90, died on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Len was born in Milan, TN on August 5, 1926, the son of the late Elmo and Mozella Baker Harper. He was retired in sales from Rockbestus, a division of Cerro Corp, of St. Louis, MO. He was a 1944 graduate of Milan High School and a 1948 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity-Beta Sigma Chapter Class of 1948. He was a member of Northside United Methodist Church.
Len is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Frances A. Harper of Jackson, TN; step-sons, Bob Harper of St. Louis, MO, Bob Arrington and wife Judy and Dick Arrington and wife Jan both of Jackson, TN; two grandchildren, Candice Tracy and husband Ron and Shane Harper all of St. Louis, MO; four step grandchildren, Clayton Arrington and wife Kerry, Marcy Moon and husband Brad, Amy Thurman and husband Brian and Jennifer Cavitt and husband Jathaniel; four great-grandchildren and ten step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Craig Harper.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 21, 2016 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Don Thrasher officiating. Burial will in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, October 21, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the service.
