John Russell Eggenberger

John Eggenberger, age 56, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was born September 22, 1965, in Memphis, TN, the son of Jerry Eggenberger and Betty Ballow Eggenberger Tucker. John was known for being an avid golfer and salesman. He could honestly sell anything, mainly because of his personality, his smile, his humor and the ability to connect with anyone. He never met a stranger. He was associated with Dolphin Tubs and Pools and Aloha Pools for many years. He spent most of his free time playing golf at Jackson National Golf Course.

John is survived by his wife, Tracey Eggenberger; two daughters, Madison Eggenberger and Emma Eggenberger; his mother, Betty Tucker (Jerry); one brother, David Eggenberger (Stacey); one sister, Amy Bentley; three stepsons, Garrett Purvis (Anna), Cody Purvis (Magen), and Chase Patterson; and one grandchild, Averly Purvis, his “Sugar Bear.”

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Jerry Eggenberger.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

The family will be receiving friends Monday from 12:00PM until 2:00PM prior to the service.
