Jimmy Gable

Funeral services for Jimmy R. Gable, 76, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 4, 2010 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery near Mercer, TN.Jimmy was born in Mississippi on January 12, 1934, the son of the late Tom and Flora James Gable. He retired in sales from H P Industries. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired to Jackson eleven years ago and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved life, family, friends and the Colorado River. He never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Patsy McPherson Gable of Jackson, TN; two daughters, Kappie Jones and husband Tim of Jackson and Debbie Gable of Jackson, TN, two grandchildren, Trent and Tyler Jones and two great grandchildren, Chloe Higdon and Landon Jones; two brother, Robert Gable of San Diego, CA and John Gable of Lansing, KS and two sisters Betty Webb of Ukiah, CA and Sara Nickells of Starkville, MS.Pallbearers will be Trent Jones, Tyler Jones, Mike Jones, Tim Jones and Jerry GayHonorary pallbearers will be John Gable, Robert Gable, Jimmy Jansen, Jim Long and Don McPherson.The family will be receiving friends on Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
