Jimmie Leslie Wilkerson

December 5, 1947 — December 26, 2021

Jimmie Leslie Wilkerson, Sr., age 74, died on Sunday, December 26, 2021, due to complications of Agent Orange. The family rejoices that he has entered his heavenly home. Jimmie was born in Savannah, TN on Friday, December 5, 1947, to the late Leslie Alford and Viola Wilkerson. After meeting and marrying Debra Becker of Memphis, he spent 49 years of happiness with the love of his life. The two completed their family with the addition of their sons, Jimmie, Jr. and Jeremy. As a family they lived an adventurous life traveling and living in 13 states and 17 cities.

Jimmie was a veteran of the United States Air Force and spent his adult civilian career as a District Retail Manager. He loved to cook and eat, go on day trips, and shop. He was always supportive of his family and friends that span across the country. Jimmie was a loyal friend and once you found yourself in the graces of his friendship, you had a friend for life. He loved sports but was especially football and basketball.

He had a strong love for animals especially his cats Chip and Bashful, but never showed that favoritism in front of his beloved fur babies Jake, Maggie and Midnight.

Jimmie loved Jesus and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Debra; sons, Jimmy Wilkerson, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Fort Worth, TX, and Jeremy Wilkerson of Jackson, TN; sister, Shelia Bradford and husband Ricky of Savannah, TN; niece, Kelly; and nephew, Chip, as well as many friends who will also mourn his passing.
