Ida Magdalyne "Maggie" Creech Wilson

Maggie was born March 29, 1920 in Barnwell County, South Carolina to Annie and Ed Creech. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
She attended schools in Olar, South Carolina and Nursing School in Columbia, South Carolina. She received a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was also a Medical Technologist. She started working at Jackson Blood Bank (now West Tennessee Regional Blood Center) in the 1940’s and continued to work there until she retired in 1985, except for a brief period of time she served as Dietician for Jackson Junior High School.
She married Melvin Wilson in 1941. He preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by two children, Claude Wilson (Karen) of Bartlett, Tennessee and Annie Scott (Randy) of Jackson, Tennessee. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Stephanie Wilson of Memphis, TN, Holly Wilson of Bartlett, TN, Kim Hart (Jeff) of Thompson Station, TN, Hugh Rushing (Gina) of Medina, TN, Will Rushing (April) of Jackson, TN and seven great grandchildren.
SERVICE: A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Hollywood Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
