Guy John West

Guy John West, 56, died on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at his home in Jackson.
A native of Melrose Park, IL, he was born on February 27, 1957, the son of the late Clarence John and Virginia (Jini) Corazza West. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he proudly served for eight years. He received his Master’s of Science from the University of Arkansas and retired as the Director of Quality Assurance for Kilgore Manufacturing. A twenty-plus year employee of Kilgore, he was known by many as the "problem solver". He was a a member of Mensa, DAV, Navy League, American Legion, and a friend of Bill W.
He was a loyal son, reliable and generous friend, and a caring father. His love for everyone around him has become apparent in this time of loss and been returned manifold.
He is survived by his son, Cary Daniel West of New York, NY; cousins, Patti Kenworthy and husband Pete of Stevensville, MI and Julie Corazza Krivich of Illinois and a niece, Chelsie Ann Kenworthy of Jackson, TN and a close friend, Dr. Roy Appleton of Jackson, TN.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, November 7, 2013 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Arrington Funeral Directors. Please direct memorial contributions to Aspell Recovery Center, 331 N.
