Ernest Harold Taylor

Ernest Harold Taylor, age 88, passed from this earthly life to his heavenly home on January 2, 2022, at his residence.

A native of Scotts Hill, TN, he was born on December 21, 1933, the son of the late Ernest Haywood and Farris Montgomery Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-eight years, Peggy Taylor, in 2016.

Harold was retired from Pepsi Bottling as a route supervisor. He was an avid outdoors person, who enjoyed many outside activities. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, enjoyed being a handyman, working in his shop, and taking care of his family’s needs. He adored his family and caring for them was his passion.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet T. Gregory of Jackson, TN; a son, Terry Taylor of Jackson, TN; three grandchildren, Kari T. Pendergrass (Jay), Jade T. Embrey (Bret) and Adam Taylor; and three great grandchildren, Jace Embrey, Pate Pendergrass and Lizzy Taylor.

SERVICES: A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Ridgecrest Cemetery with Rev. Hoyt Wilson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Adam Taylor, Jay Pendergrass, Bret Embrey, Dirk Gregory, David Gregory, and Russell Hayes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jace Embrey and Pate Pendergrass.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
