Eleanor Rutledge

March 14, 1940 — March 8, 2011

Eleanor Ann Junkin Rutledge Eleanor Ann Junkin Rutledge lived one of the fullest lives you could ever imagine. That life ended March 8, 2011. She was born to Muriel and Berchie Junkin on March 14, 1040 and shared her life with two sisters and two brothers. Her father was a career Navy man and she lived all over the country during her formative years. Her parents and both sisters, Generia Junkin and Carol Idell Youngblood, preceded her in death. She was a very compassionate person with a loving and giving heart, always putting others before herself. She is survived by her husband and constant companion of 55 years, Jerry D. Rutledge, with whom she devoted herself to lovingly raising three children. These children survive her and are David (Lavinda) Rutledge, Donna (Ricky) Boren and Dawn (Mike) Clendening. Eleanor (aka ?Gagi?) also leaves behind her grandchildren to forever treasure the nuggets of wisdom she was so famous for uttering. Those grandchildren are Abigail (Giles) Pearson, Adrian Rutledge, Ellie Boren, Alex Clendening, AJ Boren and Delaney Clendening. She also leaves the most precious great- granddaughter, Charlotte Pearson. Brothers Walter (Cathy) Junkin and Leonard (Hazel) Junkin also survive to remember her. We will all miss her, but know she is right here with us in spirit and making sure we always do the right thing. There will be no service as per her wishes. If you want to remember her in some special way, she was an animal lover and you should send a generous contribution to the Jackson-Madison County Humane Society at 23 Quaker Oats Drive Jackson, TN 38301
