Funeral services for Elaine Young Bridges, 68, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 7, 2012 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.Mrs. Bridges died on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Mrs. Bridges was employed with J.C. Penny for thirty-two years retiring as office manager.She is survived by her husband W.E. ?Ed? Bridges of Jackson, TN; a daughter, Beth Bridges Alvis and husband Jim of Mahomet, IL; a son, Alan Bridges and wife Christina Lute Bridges of Jackson, TN; three sisters, Connie Young Van Vickle, Shirley Young Maldonado and husband Jerry, and Betty Myatt Young all of Newbern and five grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Robert Larry Young and a sister, Barbara Young Waller.Pallbearers will be Randy Bridges, Ross Maldonado, Milton Waller, Trevor Cottrell, Dillon Cottrell and Phillip Cottrell.The family will be receiving friends on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 9:00 AM until the service time at Arrington Funeral Directors.
