Dorothy Diffee Rogers Mcglaughlin

Graveside services for Dorothy Diffee Rogers McGlaughlin, 92, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Ridgecrest Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 AM at West Jackson Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Neely, Rev. Lonnie Sanders and Rev. Ricky Clark officiating. Mrs. McGlaughlin died on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
A native of Jackson, TN, she was born on September 7, 1920, the daughter of the late Walter L. and Virginia S. Diffee. She was married to Thomas F. Rogers, who preceded her in death in 1952 and later married A.E. McGlaughlin who preceded her in 1996. She committed her life to her Savior Jesus Christ and served him faithfully as a member of West Jackson Baptist Church for over seventy years. She worked in the financial office at the church for forty-one years and taught children’s Sunday school for many years. She loved music, loved to play the piano and was the church pianist at West Jackson for a few years. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Judith K. Rogers of Jackson, TN and William T. Rogers and wife Jean of Naperville, IL; grandchildren, John T. Rogers and wife Angela of Riverton, UT, Bethany Talley and husband Jeff of Aurora, IL and Jennifer Burchacki and husband Matt of Lisle, IL and great grandchildren, Addison Grace Talley, Lauren Elizabeth Talley, Zachary John Talley and John William Rogers along with several nieces and nephews.
The family is requesting memorial contributions be directed to West Jackson Baptist Church Music Ministry, 580 Oil Well Road, Jackson, TN 38305
The family will be receiving friends on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
