Funeral services for Don Creasy, 49, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 17, 2013 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Brent Lay and Dr. Philip Jett officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Don died on Monday, January 14, 2013 at his residence.
A native of Jackson, TN he was born on January 30, 1963 the son of Rebecca Henderson Creasy and the late Jerry W. Creasy. He was a graduate of Northside High School and Jackson State Community College. He was a member of Englewood Baptist Church. He was the owner of Tipp Topp Rental and Cleaners. He was the grill master for JCS Baseball for many years. Don was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a baseball coach with Dixie Youth and his travel ball club the Jackson Panthers for many years. He was the founder and organizer of the Carl Perkins Bass Classic to benefit the Decaturville Center. He loved young people and was always working for their best interest. One of his many players said “You were a great role model to many of us young ones where were blessed enough to call you coach. A great example of a man on and off the field”
He is survived by his children, Samantha and Hunter Creasy; his mother Rebecca Creasy; sister, Karen Fish (Jimmy Jr.); Nephews, Stephen and Jacob Simpson; nieces, Anna Cowan, Halei, Rainee and Windie Fish and his wife, Karen Higgins Creasy all of Jackson, TN.
