Funeral services for Jessie Diane Argo, 64, will be held at 10:00 AM Sunday, June 17, 2012 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Pastor Ron Brown officiating. Burial will take place in Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, TN with a committal service at 2:00 PM. Mrs. Argo died on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Regional Hospital of Jackson.A native of Somerville, TN she was born on September 5, 1947 the daughter of Lee Thompson and the late Birdie Marie Kee Thompson. Before her retirement, she was employed with Refreshments of Tennessee working at Maytag. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed caring for them. She also loved to cook and care for her flowers.She is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Jim Argo of Jackson, TN; her father, Lee Thompson of Jackson, TN; a son, Lee Wayne Scott, Jr and wife Meredith of Byhalia, MS; a daughter, Teresa Lynn Scott of Jackson, TN; a step-son, Jamie Argo of Jackson, TN and two step daughters, Amy McKnight and husband Ron of Medina, TN and Diane Harold of Panama City Beach, FL; four brothers, James Thompson and wife Gail, Elmer Thompson and wife Patricia and Tommy Thompson and wife Dell all of Somerville, TN and Timmy Thompson and wife Gurlene of Moscow and two sisters, Bobbie Graham and husband Larry of Somerville, TN and Peggy Cullins and husband Odis of Pine Bluff, AR; and ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.She was preceded in death by her son, James Travis Scott; a sister, Elizabeth Annette Gromes and a brother, John William Thompson.Pallbearers to serve will be Charles Thompson, Tommy Thompson, Brad Thompson, Cory Thompson, Terry Graham, Charlie Thompson, Troy Thompson and Jonah Thompson.Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Argo and Billy Wayne Davidson.The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
