Denise Marie Secrest

Denise Marie Bourgeois Secrest went home Wednesday morning, October 15, 2014. She was welcomed by her father Jacques Bourgeois. She is survived by her husband, Robert Mark Secrest; a daughter, Chelsea Anne Martin and husband Roy Lee Martin II; a son, Christopher Mark Secrest; a grandson, Wyatt Stockton Martin and her mother, Naomi Ann Bourgeois all of Jackson, TN.
She is also survived by her brothers, Jack Anthony Bourgeois of San Martin, CA and brothers, James Anthony Bourgeois and John Andre Bourgeois both of Canyon Lake, TX.
Denise was born August 8, 1958 at Santa Rosa Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. A graduate of Galesburg High School in Galesburg, IL. She married her sweetheart, Robert Mark Secrest June 6, 1981. This yellow rose later relocated to Jackson, TN to raise her children but always prided herself on being a domestic Texan.
She battled Multiple Sclerosis for most of her life but her faith in God was unwavering. She was a proud member of St. Mary’s Parish. She took pride and great joy in her involvement in school activities during the years her children attended.
SERVICES: Memorial services for Mrs. Secrest will be held 2:00 PM Saturday October 18, 2014 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Father Thomas Kirk officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s School or a local humane society.
