Dean Clanton

Dean Clanton, 63, died on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Humboldt, TN the son of Bryan Wilson and Dorothy Evelyn Heavner Clanton. He was self-employed as the owner of Clanton Construction and Remodeling Company. He was a very active member of East Union Baptist Church, where he was involved in numerous activities including teaching Sunday school and R.A. as well as helping in any function of the church. The church and his work were his life.
He is survived his parents, Wilson and Dorothy Clanton of Humboldt, TN; two sons, Ethan Dean Clanton (Amy) of Cedar Grove, TN and Joel Stephen Clanton of Humboldt, TN; four daughters, Kristy Heather Dew (Robert) of Jackson, TN, Kary Beth Pierce of Savannah, TN, Zada Katherine Casey and Julie Elizabeth Clanton both of Jackson, TN; a brother, John Wilson Clanton (Kathie) of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Dorothy Angela Badgett (Michael) of Jackson, TN and Judith Lee Pique (Bob) of Bells, TN and five grandchildren, Steven Dew, Tommie White, Tyler Dorris, Charlie Pierce and Noah Casey.
SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM following visitation in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Edgar Pierce officiating.
Memorial contributions are requested to be directed to East Union Baptist Church, 2244 Beech Bluff Road, Jackson, TN 38301 or to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, 848 Adams Ave. Memphis, TN 38103.
