Clifford Roy Watne

November 10, 1945 — June 11, 2021

Clifford Roy Watne, age 75, of Humboldt, TN, died Friday, June 11, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County Hospital after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born in Great Falls, Montana the son of Roy and Agnes Erickson Watne, and raised in Billings, MT. He retired as a Distribution Manager of DeVilbiss/ITW after 36 years. He loved wood working always creating a drawing of the design, did some oil painting, very active in his church and its leadership, was a Stephen Minister assisting those in crisis in their lives, and most important to him, was his family and especially proud of his grandson being a firefighter.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy Maier Watne of Humboldt, TN; son, Tom Wedding of LaVergne, TN; daughter, Sheri Wedding of Humboldt, TN; grandson, Randall Jimenez of Humboldt, TN; brother, Andrew “Ole” Watne of Billings, MT; sister, Marsha (Dick) Casad of Billings, MT; and a niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and other brother Harold “Hud” Watne of Billings, MT.

SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Arrington Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Humboldt, TN at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Frank Cherney officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, Humboldt, TN.
