Bettye Faye Sanderson Hubbell

Bettye Faye Sanderson Hubbell, age 80, died on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Northbrooke Healthcare of Jackson.
Bettye was born in Milledgeville, TN on December 27, 1934, the daughter of the late William and Ethel Inez Moore Sanderson. She married James Edward Hubbell on June 2, 1957, and together they celebrated 58 years of marriage. She began her career working for Tennessee Valley Insurance for five years, later accepting a position with the Pathology Department of Jackson Madison County General Hospital for twenty years as a Transcriptionist. She was a member of Northside United Methodist Church, where she and her husband were members of the Pioneer Sunday school class. She enjoyed crafts and was very active for many years in Ceramics with the Jackson Recreation Department. Her hobbies included working in her yard, mission work through her church and traveling. Her family was her life and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Hubbell of Jackson, TN; a son, Scott Edward Hubbell and wife Amy of Humboldt, TN; three daughters, Tena McGaughey and husband Eddie of Milan, TN, Julie Amanda Hubbell of Jackson, TN and Holly Mitchener and husband Steve of Lakeland, TN; two sisters, Edna Meadows of Ripley, TN and Laverne Sipes of Jackson, TN; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Bettye was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
SERVICES: A funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Don Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Medina, TN. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service at Arrington Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers serving will be Teri Anna Jackson, Maggie Jackson, Eliza Sims, Canaan Sims, Trent Britt, Matthew Britt, Steve Mitchener and Glen McCullar.
The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to St. John’s Masonic Lodge #332 c/o Widows and Orphans Fund, 1341 N. Highland Ave., Jackson, TN 38301 or to the Alzheimer’s Association of West Tennessee, 4825 Trousdale Drive, Suite 220, Nashville, TN 37220.
