Terry Moore, 58, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at his residence.
He was born August 21, 1959 in Jackson, TN the son of Billy Gene and Beverly Parish Moore.
Terry was very involved in sports throughout West Tennessee. He was TSSAA Volleyball official, Umpire in Chief at West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex, assigner of officials in West Tennessee in baseball and basketball leagues. He was an avid hunter of all wild game, a committee member of Ducks Unlimited Chester County and a UT Vols fan. Being a devoted St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, one if his most memorable times was attending Game 6 of the World Series in St. Louis with his son Garrett.
Many lives have been touched by Terry’s involvement with youth in sports. He started coaching at an early age. It has been said that the success of the sportsplex is greatly due to the influence, vision and hard work of Terry Moore.
He is survived by his wife Tana Moore, son Garrett Moore, step-son Brandon Woods, mother Beverly Moore Baum, father Billy Gene Moore and wife Pam, sister, Pam German, one half-sister, Daly Schmidt, one half-brother, Jeremy Moore, step-sister Robin Colvin, grandchildren, Hayden, Ella and Everett.
He was preceded in death by Grandparents, Harry Frances Moore, Earl and Mary Parish, half-sister Lisa Marie Moore, and brother Robert Scott Moore.
SERVICES: Memorial services will be held Friday at 1:00PM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Pastor Mike Davis officiating. The family will be receiving friends Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 3:00PM until 6:00PM and Friday from 11:00 – 1:00 prior to service time. Honorary pallbearers will be, Andy Hall, Sid Freeman, Ricky Yates, Brandon Pipkin, Kim Masoud, Jon T. Hall, Don Beard, Robbie Graves, Allen Cain, Scott Murphy, Mac Smith, Mike Woods and the Jackson Officials Association.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be directed to the Sarah Beth Whitehead Memorial Fund, The Foundation, 74 Directors Row, Jackson, TN 38305.
