Rev. Larry Taylor, age 54, died on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Larry was born on October 2, 1960, the son of Leonard Earl Taylor and the late Reble Adams Taylor. He has pastored and evangelized for over thirty four years with twenty years at Faith Apostolic Church of Jackson. He loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He was a loving father and grandfather. He also enjoyed traveling with his family.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Taylor of Jackson, TN; a son Jonathan Taylor (Debra) of Medon, TN; a daughter, Laranda Kenney (David) of Lebanon, TN; his father, Leonard Earl Taylor (Dixie) of Madisonville, Ky a brother, David Taylor (Troyce) of Henderson, TN; two sisters, Janet Abbott (Jeffrey) of Madisonville, KY and Rose Ann Sharber (Donald) of Mortons Gap, KY and eight grandchildren.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from the Straight Way Apostolic Faith Church, 2188 North Parkway E., with Rev. Keith Avery and Rev. Steve Bender officiating. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors and on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the church.
Pallbearers will be David Kenney, Bruce Payne, Bobby Mays, Derek Taylor, Jacob James, David Penrod and Tracy Marshall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Kenneth Morrell, Rev. Bill Pittman, Mark Marshall, Rev. Michael Putman, Rev. Ray Winstead and Rev. Howard Tingle, Jr.
Memorial contributions should be directed to Faith Apostolic Church., 119 Mifflin Road, Jackson, TN 38301.
