Peggy Doris Murley

Peggy Doris Murley, age 84, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the loving care of Avalon Hospice,
Peggy was born in Humboldt, TN on May 8, 1932 the daughter of the late Lonnie and Aileen Sanders Wallsmith. She was a retired Pre-K teacher with twenty-seven years at the Cottonwood Heights Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. She enjoyed cooking and being with her grandchildren. She was very active in all aspects of church work including teaching all grades and GA’s. She along with her husband are currently member of Eldad Baptist Church in Trenton, where they have worked and traveled with the Senior Adults.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Robert Dennis Murley of Humboldt, TN; two daughters Denise Perkins and husband Marshall of Collierville, TN and Lynette Szeto and husband Ken of Humboldt, TN; a brother Don Wallsmith and wife Ann of Lenoir City, TN; a sister, Martha Cannon of Abbeville, MS; four grandchildren, Cody Perkins, April Seay, Jessica Cohen, Zach VanNieuwenhuyze and five great grandsons.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 7, 2007 at Eldad Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Criswell officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldad Church Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Cody Perkins, Will Seay, Benny Cohen, George Gray, Tony Douglas and Marshall Perkins.
The family is requesting that memorials be directed to Eldad Cemetery, 49 Eldad Road, Trenton, TN 38382.
