George M. Beiter, 89, died Wednesday evening March 13, 2013 at Maplewood Healthcare.
Mr. Beiter was born November 1, 1923 in Portage, PA the son of the late James and Jane Brown Beiter. He was retired from Graham Snack Foods. He held a private pilot’s license and served in the Navy during WW II.
He is survived by three sons, James Michael Beiter (Marie) of Luray, TN, Sammy David Beiter of Hinesville, GA, William Joseph Beiter (Barbara) of Jackson, TN one daughter, Kathy Louise Beiter Dunbar of Memphis, TN, four grandchildren, Randy Beiter (Kelli), Chris Garvey (Jenniffer), Jennifer Garvey, Angelina Warburton, two great grandchildren, Bryan Beiter and Whittney Warburton.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Shelley Beiter (9.21.1982), daughter Mary Catherine Beiter (2.24.1986), and grandson Bryan Michael Beiter (12.24.1982).
SERVICES: Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 5:00PM – 7:00PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to The Alzheimer’s Association, 326 Ellsworth St, Memphis, TN or The American Cancer Society, 2935 US Highway 45 By-Pass, Jackson, TN, and The March of Dimes 98 Northstar Dr, Jackson, TN.
