Betty J. Talley

Betty J. Talley, a housewife and mother, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 5, 2015. She was 85. Mrs. Talley was a native of Madison County, TN and lived in Metairie, LA since 1967. She was strong willed, opinionated with a good sense of humor and a sublime fashion sense. Her husband of 65 years was a career FBI Agent who served at many different locations throughout the United States. Betty was a longstanding member of Parkview Baptist Church in Metairie and was active in it’s Sunday School Program. Survivors include two sons, Timothy Talley of Oklahoma City, OK and Mark Talley (Mary) of Metairie, LA; sister, Jacqueline Jacobs of Kilgore, TX; two half brothers, James A. Davis (Doris) of Memphis, TN and William E. Davis of Hilton Head, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Talley and her parents, Robert Oscar Deaton and Martha Belle Davis.
A Graveside Service will be held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cedar Grove, TN on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
